The data reveals that employers are demanding too much: learning to say no is the top priority for professionals right now as they combat burnout brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and added responsibilities at work. Avoiding conflict and improving communication are also common themes across the top tips, proving that these issues are just as much of a problem when working from home as they are when working in an office.

Communication breakdowns and conflict resolution may seem relatively straightforward focus areas, but some of the data was more surprising.

While Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts are often talked about as top priorities for leaders, Bunch’s data shows that their actions need to match their words: DEI tips only rank in the middle in terms of popularity.
