⏰ 60min meeting every Monday morning
👩👧👦 Everyone, not just developers..!
Job to be done: Improve adaptability in your organization
How to do it: Team leads and/or managers define initiatives on a weekly basis and present these to the team every Monday morning.
Doing weekly sprints is not just for developers (frequently used in agile development), it should be all departments that define initiatives on a weekly basis. It’s well known that sprints are the secret to get more things done, but not only that, it also allows you to quickly change direction when necessary.
Note: don’t get rid of your long-term goals, simply put more emphasis on creating meaningful short-term initiatives that help you achieve these.
Pro Tip: Let team members suggest initiatives on Thursdays or Fridays for the following week. The team leader will then assess whether these align with long-term company goals and objectives, and decide which ones will be focussed on in next week’s sprint.
Used by companies like:
“It is a wise person that adapts themselves to all contingencies; it’s the fool who always struggles like a swimmer against the current.”
